Laminate Flooring

Maintenance-free and easy to clean, laminate flooring is perfect for a contemporary look and with a scratch protection layer, can withstand the perils of a busy household.  Certain ranges within the Quickstep brand now come with a Hydroseal coating to give added protection from spillages. 

Laminate flooring is made of either HDF or MDF with an image bonded or laminated onto the top so that it closely resembles wood, marble, stone or granite. 

Laminate is classed as a 'floating floor', as it is laid over a suitable underlay (floated).  Some underlay products have a built in damp proof membrane which can help act as a moisture protection barrier should there be any rising damp. The laminate itself is fitted together using a clic method.
